Email Design | Product Launch | Beauty

Overview

Designed a marketing email for the launch of Avon’s Beyond Glow Color Shift Lipcerin, focusing on visually communicating the product’s color-transforming feature while maintaining a cohesive and engaging brand experience.

The Goal

Create an email that introduced a new product while clearly showcasing its unique “color-shifting” benefit. The design needed to feel visually engaging, easy to navigate, and aligned with Avon’s existing email system.

My Role

  • Designed the full email layout using an existing template system

  • Selected and structured imagery to support product storytelling

  • Concepted the visual approach to highlight the color-changing feature

  • Executed final production-ready assets for deployment

  • Adapted the design for international markets, including Spanish & Canadian versions

The Thinking 

To highlight the product’s color-shifting quality, I used motion in the hero section, creating a GIF that featured two models and both product shades. This allowed the transformation aspect to be communicated instantly in a way a static image could not. Working with

a limited set of assets, I focused on creating a clear visual hierarchy that guided the user from product introduction → key benefits → ingredient highlights → promotional offer. I balanced lifestyle imagery with product-focused visuals to maintain a strong beauty aesthetic

while ensuring the product remained the focal point. The layout was designed to be clean and scannable, optimizing for email engagement across devices.

Outcome

The final design was well received by the internal team and successfully supported the product launch across multiple markets, with localized versions created for broader distribution.

Designed a promotional email for Avon’s Tutti Frutti Beauty collection, focused on creating

a vibrant, sensory-driven experience that highlighted the freshness and appeal of fruit-infused skincare products.

The Goal

Translate the “tutti frutti” concept into a visually engaging email that made the products feel fresh, juicy, and desirable, while clearly communicating product benefits and maintaining brand consistency.

My Role

  • Designed the email layout using Avon’s template system

  • Selected and paired imagery to enhance product storytelling

  • Concepted the visual direction to emphasize the fruit-inspired theme

  • Created production-ready assets for deployment

The Thinking 

With a limited set of product images, I used complementary fruit visuals to reinforce the “tutti frutti” concept and create a more immersive, sensory experience. I intentionally paired each product with its corresponding fruit ingredient to visually communicate benefits while making the content feel more appetizing and engaging. The goal was to evoke a sense of freshness and make the products feel almost tangible. The layout was structured to guide the viewer through the collection in a clear, scannable flow, balancing bold imagery with clean typography to maintain readability while still feeling vibrant and elevated.

Outcome

The final design successfully brought the campaign concept to life, enhancing product storytelling and creating a visually cohesive experience aligned with Avon’s brand.
